Shivom - Business Analysis

Image
In this piece i will be performing a business analysis of the Shivom Blockchain project using a tool known as SWOT Analysis which is used to highlight the internal and external factors of a project or business. SWOT  means Strength(s) Weakness(es) Opportunity(ies) and Threat(s).  SHIVOM  SWOT Analysis Strengths The strengths of  shivom  lies in the technology, concept and rarity. Never before has it being done that a blockchain project will take medical science to the lengths of genomic technology. This is a game changer, the blockchain integration means data can be stored securely and transparently which is obviously absent presently.  Medical innovations is a very important topic that affects everyone directly or indirectly and with shivom we can all contribute to the future of medicine and also get rewarded for participating. This in itself will drive more people to adopt the technology as soon as it is mainstream. Weaknesses The most obvious weakness at this stage f

Will I Invest In Shivom or Not?

Shivom Yes or No? Shivom is a great project with a really innovative concept. The technology is game changing and the community is large, however a lot of projects share these values and still fail to reach their potentials. That said, i will be assessing this project based on some key factors like their progress so far, the team behind the project, and their plans for the future. Ill like to state that the points below are strictly personal and do not serve as any form of investment advice,  so kindly do due diligence and make your own research. The Progress So Far Prototype:  The project has made great strides so far, with great partnerships already made but the absence of a beta prototype is surely raising some eye brows but that is slated to be released in Q2 2018 which is already not far away again. A release of this will surely kick start the mass adoption for this project, so i am looking forward to that. Already Making a Difference:  The team is dedicated to mak

Personal Data Market is Flawed - PDATA Tackle's This Flaws

Image
Data Market: A Limited Market The data brokerage market is a multi billion dollars one. Zettabytes of data are exchanged yearly between the brokers and the customers (companies and industries). The data market is nevertheless flawed. Companies pay highly for data but more often than not, the acquired data seldom have the required effect on the upturn of revenues or maximizing profit. Why does this happen? Online Spying The answer lies in the data gathering process. Data brokers often acquire personal data through back doors and online spying on consumers and this may have proven to work in the past but recently people have become more aware of their security and take necessary measures to protect their personal data or provide false information when browsing the Internet or during similar activities. This result in users giving off false and incomplete or inconsistent data, the brokers gather these data anyway and still sell for the same value. Photo by bruce mars from

Cardstack - Blockchain For Every Generation

Why Should My Dad or/and Mom Decide to Adopt Blockchain With Cardstack? I did a well packed  introduction of the Cardstack  project a couple of weeks ago, you can check it out  here . I pay attention to thing going on around me and fully aware of these happenings I recently overhead my dad and his more tech savvy friend discussing cryptos, and there was a sentence I heard a lot; "How do I keep track of all that".  How do I keep track of all that? I pondered on this for a while and it got me thinking; how will my dad who isn't as tech savvy as this younger generation of ours keep track of this amazing decentralized applications and services he is in the process of being convinced to adopt? How? This is a question that comes up alot in crypto related conversations, with thousands of decentralized applications been developed to solve real life situations in revolutionary ways. Most of these applications however bamboozle the target users both the newbies  and ev
